I liked this mug at first but I was so disappointed when just a month after I received it the lid broke so the mug is now unusable. I can no longer close the lid. Very disappointed I spent money on this. I've loved all my other simple modern mugs I've bought in the past but this one was a huge disappointment. Not worth the money and not sustainable, this is a poorly designed lid that breaks easily. The clasp/button needs a stronger material. UPDATE: I have another one that I bought for my fiancé. Bought straight from a plain modern website, not Amazon. about a month later he also had the exact same breech failure. I almost bought a replacement cap for mine which I originally rummaged through thinking I might have a defective one but no this is a consistently poorly made product whether you buy from Amazon or direct from the seller. I have a third one that I was going to give as a gift for Christmas, but now I'm thinking I could get something else as a gift to save myself the embarrassment of giving expensive junk. It's so disappointing. I love our simple, modern water bottles, but due to quality issues with these mugs, I may have to stay away from SM altogether.
