The build was difficult from the start. You have to put rocks around the lightbulb which puts you at risk of breaking the lightbulb as it is unprotected. I've been using a solid type salt lamp for years and it takes months before the bulb needs to be replaced, but this lamp blew out after about a week using the exact same bulb. I just left it burned out for a few days because it hurts a lot to change and it's not worth it if it burns out the bulb again a week later. My husband initially left it hanging but we appealed when we realized how big and heavy it was. It's a good idea, but overall a big problem with serious design flaws.
