Keep an eye on this, mine is overheating

My spare tire was 25psi and I needed 60psi. The inflator worked well at first, but only inflated the tire to 49psi before overheating and starting to smoke. The built-in pressure gauge wasn't accurate either. He said the tire was 60psi.
