This system is primarily used by video users but I bought it to help with photos. With live view (ie remote live view) on many cameras, this device is perfect for helping your camera get into those tricky spots that usually make for the most interesting photos. The 1/4-20 threading on the legs allowed me to create "aligners" with 4 simple carriage bolts and wing nuts. This allows you to position the camera at a convenient upward angle and easily capture images close to the ground. Solid build, lots of accessories and this item is worth the extra cost compared to other U-handle devices. As far as I know, this is the only model with 1/4-20 threads in the legs.
