I did my homework to research the best hiking sandals, which finally led me to this one. Unfortunately they didn't work and will be returned. At first I was very disappointed that they only came in a plastic bag labeled "Ready To Ship". There were no instructions for harnesses as I've read in other chacos. That was pretty easy to figure out, but the toe strap didn't stay where I had it adjusted. He kept squeezing my big toe as I moved, causing it to blush and requiring frequent readjustments. I would say the size was perfect and the support was good for my wide, high arched legs. My typical size is 6.5 wide and I bought 6 wide. I can check out their styles without toe straps but I think next time I'll go to an outdoor store.
