The 6000 series full face mask comes with a sample face shield. These protectors cling to static electricity, fit the lens perfectly, and are easy to change. If used correctly (a very simple task), the difference in vision may not be noticed. Now calculate that the lens is just as important as the filtering. If chemical fumes, splashes or dust have accumulated on the lens, it becomes difficult to keep the lens clean without a protector. The choice comes down to simple convenience and economy. Remove and replace the protective film for $25 each, or $25 for a new lens. After trying a sample I decided on a 25 pack as a very smart investment.
