I used Gorilla double sided tape, but you can use 3M Double-Lock "tape" instead of screwing it to something. The back is completely flat, so perfect for this. That way you don't poke holes in anything either. I placed one under the kitchen counter and one under the bathroom cabinet above the sink. It holds up great even when the kids pull hard and handle it roughly. If you use double-sided tape, you can always remove and re-stick the paper towel holder as the tape can be used over and over again - it's similar to velcro but about 1000 times stronger. This product does NOT come with a ribbon, so you need to purchase it separately. This product is perfect for small living spaces, RVs, etc. It frees up countertop space and is very easy to use. The quality is great but I can't tell you how great it would be if you used screws instead of the 2 types of tape I used. I used strong Gorilla double sided tape for one and a 3M black double lock for the other. Both hold up incredibly well, but if you want to take them off and put them back on without having to get a new strap every time, you need the 3M Double Lock. The goods came within 1-2 days, simple packaging without much rubbish. Simple instructions (which I didn't need as it was so easy to velcro/tape and tape in place). I would definitely recommend it as it doesn't look cheap but doesn't stand out or feel bulky either. This is exactly what I needed. Don't buy plastic! It weighs even less than these and will last forever, while the plastic type is brittle and will break within days or weeks at best.
