I did the same thing as you - spent an hour comparing this set to others in the same price range. So I gave it a go and was very happy. It's a small backpack, but it's made out of this foldable material that allows you to expand the backpack if you want to fit more items in it. In fact, it has several hidden compartments that make it the perfect backpack size for daily essentials (jacket, wallet, keys, snacks, etc.). I use it as something to take with me when I run and I like the chest/waist straps the most. Most other backpacks have chest straps that are too high and the hip belt is as wide as a car seat belt. Don't worry about this backpack as the straps are small enough to be rolled up/tied easily so they won't bother you.
