Review on Todays Cotton Classic Tailored Styling by Matt Lewis

Perfect for a guest room; he does his job!

I bought this skirt for my guest bedroom. The sheets and duvet are striped in different shades of grey. Needed a skirt to hide what's under the bed (don't ask. Could there be monsters at this point who knows, I'm too scared to check). I've seen reviews where people say it's not exactly grey. Gray is weird. Gray is hard to find! Just like RED is weird and hard to beat. But I needed gray vs black or white because of the aforementioned monsters under the bed and also we have 3 cats who love to fool around in there - which means there is cat hair on the bed skirt. Gray hides fur (and monsters); Black and white not (we have a wide variety of colors found in cats. Black, gray tabby and orange and white guys are about the size of Australia). However. I took a lot of photos because I love this skirt! It does the job! You have to pet him first. I did NOT wash it because it didn't smell like the packaging. I would recommend if you need to wash it, wash in COLD on gentle cycle. I ironed it --- and a warning - if this iron touches the white part of the mesh? IT GROWS. I had to steam the iron on the hottest setting to get those creases out if you want it to look as nice and flat and smooth as the seller picture. It irons beautifully, just be very careful with the iron when approaching the white mesh part; I burned a small hole in the mesh (not a big deal because it'll be hidden anyway if you put a mattress on top and make a bed with a blanket hanging down). - the gray side, I admit it. There's so much gray in the ceiling I don't care. In addition, it is at ground level and is not the main attraction of the room. A PLUS. our rugs are brown-brown, so the rug goes well with a skirt and blanket. This is perfect for a guest room. It doesn't see through like others have claimed, at least not in our very dark 1970s house (unfortunately, our windows aren't as big as our orange and white cat I mentioned there; how I wish I could, so she does are). I took a picture of my hand behind it, backlit so you can see that it's only slightly opaque, but doesn't see through completely. In general, the purchase is satisfied. It wasn't Prime stock (I'm actually a Princess Prime), but I didn't care; the monsters under the bed didn't care either. You now have a safe, neat looking hiding place. = D

Pros
  • 60% cotton/ 40% polyester
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
