I love that kids can use it but what I don't like is that when you try to show the older kid the younger kid wants to press all the buttons. Not recommended for children under 4 years old. But on the plus side, I can lock menu options other than Sound, Lamp, Mon. Everything else is blocked. Scanning is blocked, as is volume. But with young children, I don't show them how to unlock these things at all. It's a fun little toy that comes in handy when they're outside and you're inside. I played Capture the Flag with bandanas and shoelaces.
