I'll keep this for my grandkids if they stay. My old (different brand) broke. Lights move rhythmically across the ceiling. The source light is bright. I mounted it on a bookshelf and tilted the book so the light shines outward toward the ceiling and walls of the room, but the side of the bookshelf is blocking the brightness of the light source. My old light was controlled by touching the block. This light has controls on the device but I couldn't get them to respond. The remote control (which comes with a battery) was very responsive and only required a light touch. There are many combinations of light "waves" and there is a solid spiral of stars that can be added to any color combination.
