Works on smaller, thinner fabrics
The shirts are tight, stretchy enough and run small. My 6 year old daughter usually wears a size 7/8 or medium (she is tall but slim) and the sleeves are at least 1/2 inch above her wrist for this size. The rest of the shirts are fine; thinner than the french toast turtleneck we ordered (which was also much roomier) but I think you get what you pay for.
