I've had to return these pajamas twice in a row now because of the fit and the thickness of the material, which is so disappointing. I originally purchased these to wear around my kid on lazy mornings. I normally wear a 10-12 on top and a 12-14 on bottom - a pear shape. Being between sizes, I ordered the medium and then the large.First, let's talk about the fit. They are great if you have an average to tiny butt and a large chest. They are not great for women with thick thighs and a curvy butt. With the medium and the shorts fit but would be considered too tight for comfortable sleeping. Not to mention the inseam was very short. I wouldn't want to bend over in them. The shirt fit great. I ordered the large and the shorts improved slightly but would be too tight upon shrinking after washing, and still remained too short in the inseam. I expected more of a baggy fit in the large shorts and to have to use the drawstring to tighten them. Instead I got a miniscule increment of a larger size and it was still a tight short. Like I said, I wanted to wear these while lounging around the house with my family. The medium shirt fit okay but the large shirt had a really strange cut. It was much too large in the chest, which would have been okay for a loose fit for sleeping had the shorts also been roomy, but the sleeves were constricting even with the larger size. When I raised my arms even though the armpits of the shirt were hanging far down, the sleeve is sewn in at an angle and constricts the top of the sleeve. I wanted something I can cook pancakes and move around in. Now, as to the thickness of the material. It felt so soft and like a quality thickness of cotton. However, when I wore a light gray bra underneath it showed through my shirt. This is not something I would feel comfortable wearing unless I was by myself, and so my need was not met with this product. Bottom line, for curvy or pear shaped women, with muscular or thick thighs this is not the pajama for you.
