So easy! I installed them around the kitchen in 10 minutes, they are so light a simple light hook holds them perfectly. I used my own tiny hooks that just screw into the wall/ceiling by hand. Best lights I have ever bought, the remote control plays 10 colors as well as light show effects like red white and blue light show. That is very cool! UPDATE: One of my Sony TV remotes can change the color or order of the backlight and even turn it off. I had trouble turning them back on this week, but the moment I unplugged the 9V lithium battery to charge the same surge protector they were plugged into, they suddenly turned back on. So if they stop working, maybe check what else is plugged into that outlet. They work well and beautifully like never before. Merry Christmas!
