1. Remember that the towels should not be wet wipes, but an oiled towel. Although it appears dry, it is definitely oily.2. For the record, for a typical stainless steel fridge, I can "sort of" use a towel, but it takes a lot of towel rubbing to disperse the oil. If I'm really lazy and don't want to take the time to spread the oils all over the place (the fridge is pretty big), I just use a different piece of tissue paper.3. The manufacturer recommends using a microfiber cloth after polishing. I have found this to be done to get rid of streaks and excess oil. In my experience oils do not evaporate and if left on the surface and touched after a few hours stains will form.
