Review on Bowers & Wilkins PX7 Wireless Headphones by Bima ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The quality exceeds all expectations, I recommend to buy.

It's time to change the Sony MDR 1000X (first generation), which, after 3.5 years of active activity, finally cracked badly in two places at the "attachment" of the ears at the temple, the glue no longer helps. I tried the B&W PX5, they are good for almost everyone, but they are very tight on the ears. As a result, I sold and replaced them with PX7, where the landing is much more convenient. I spend 3-5 hours a day in them, I am very satisfied. I also own a Bose 700. Bose has better insulation, but the sound is “poorer” for my taste and they cannot be used via USB-C audio, only charged. Plus the build doesn't inspire the same confidence as the PX7. All in all I was much more pleased with the PX7s and if you don't go for the maximum level of noise reduction then I can't find any reason to recommend them over the PX7s. Well, except that if the B&W sound doesn't work for you. There was no comparison with the Sony WF-1000XM3 (latest generation).

Pros
  • * Bright, interesting, lively sound * Good passive and active noise isolation * They sit very pleasantly and comfortably, you can wear them for 7-8 hours in a row, your ears and head do not start to hurt * Support AAC, aptX HD. The modern version of Bluetooth, fast switching between two devices connected at the same time. * Can be used wired via USB-C audio, they also charge when used * Together with a solid battery life and fast charging, if you sometimes use audio via USB-C wire, it is unrealistic to put the headphones * The assembly is very pleasant, there is no feeling that after 3 years they will crack or the ear cushions will completely peel off * I like buttons more than touch controls as they are more predictable * Decent looking * The microphone works well, at least there were never any complaints from the interlocutors
Cons
  • The pause function when removing it works for some reason every other time and usually when you move one ear, and do not remove the headphones around your neck. PX5 (see comments) worked perfectly. Almost everything met my expectations. Not everyone may like the B&W sound, or the look, or want better active noise cancellation. The device, of course, is not cheap. If you listened and can afford it, I think you will not be disappointed.
