Does what I need

Bought this to carry things on my morning route. Things: a small first aid kit from maxpedition, a travel umbrella from fidus, a 2018 iPad in an Otterbox, a switch in a case, my 4-card wallet, two keys, a badge, a pen and a phone (iPhone 8 not plus ). Requirements: backpack/sling, zip pocket for wallet, outside phone pocket, space for everything else. That suits my needs. It is fully lined, looks thick and well made. No visible problems with the seams. It's not the most sophisticated fabric (not exactly canvas, smoother than an umbrella but not waterproof) but the blue is good. The straps are comfortable and not slippery, make a great backpack or shoulder bag. Inside there are two flat pockets (a pen, a badge, most likely not a phone) on one side and a zippered pocket on the other where a wallet slips. On the outside there is a pocket big enough for my phone on the side. Leaving the clip in allows me to gently slide the iPad up on one side (I'm a bit worried about the zipper all the time) while everything else fits easily underneath. What I do not like ? If the straps were about four inches longer, that would work as a sling as well. I wear it like that sometimes, but it's tighter than I'd like. I'm considering cutting the straps and replacing them with longer ones that I can convert between a sling and a backpack if needed, but I like the "tarp" style straps better than the webbing I have. It smelled like chemicals when it arrived, but hanging around overnight (and clashing with coconut and lemon hand sanitizer) solved it. if not longer.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • I won't say anything
