I was looking for a trimmer that cuts my hair a little closer than other brands I have. This trimmer does just that, but comes with a few downsides. The switch built into the battery cover doesn't seem to be making good contact; The trimmer will slow down a bit if you move the lid/switch a bit. I would not recommend rinsing this trimmer under running water. I did this and then removed the cutting head to check for water droplets in the engine bay. A shaft seal may prevent water from entering the motor. Hopefully. The design of my other trimmer, the older Panasonic, doesn't allow water to get to the motor. Panasonic also has a better switch layout. You will need tweezers to remove the cutting blade assembly from the cutting head for cleaning. Replacing the cutter head on the motor housing is not easy as it is sometimes difficult to align the hole in the blade assembly with the motor's square shaft. The "detail header" works well and is easy to use.
