Review on Headlight Brighter Wireless Conversion Waterproof Lights & Lighting Accessories for Lighting Conversion Kits by Andrew Sticher

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not the best option for BMW

Read some reviews and was suggested to try this for my 07 E92 DRL as I had one that was running low. I'll start by saying my 3 star rating is mostly for my particular vehicle. When looking at the lamp base, it was optically identical to the H8 lamp I removed. After measuring with vernier calipers, there are slight differences in the width of the protrusions. The overall length behind the bulb is significantly longer due to the heatsink, which is to be expected with any LED, but given the lack of space in the E92's headlights, fitting took a full hour. There just isn't enough room to fit a lightbulb in the case. The tabs also require the bulb to be mounted at a 45-degree angle to the stock bulbs, which snap at the 12 o'clock position. That didn't happen with my setup. They feel very loose and don't sit fully. In the end I had to give up. In general, the brightness is not what I expected. Due to the lamp's design, no light reaches the outer rings, so they are much dimmer than standard lamps. This may work for other setups, but for the BMW e92 I would look elsewhere.

Pros
  • Very bright. Real CSP Y19 LED chips. It is 300% brighter than the original halogen bulb. 6500K color temperature, brighter, clearer and safer.
Cons
  • Has flaws
