Review on πŸ’¦ mCover Hard Shell Case for Late-2019 13.4" Dell XPS 13 7390 2-in-1 Models - Aqua Cover by Matthias Foxx

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Love this cover

I have two Dell XPS 7390 2-in-1s and a laptop. (I have no idea why they used the exact same model number on two completely different machines. Just in case the 2-in-1's keyboard is less comfortable and much thinner than the laptop's, the laptop's screen however, doesn't fold back far enough for my liking.) Anyway, I first found this mcover laptop case and loved it. No more freezing aluminum on legs in shorts! Fits really well, actually looks pretty decent (translucent black is better than matte clear) and does the job well. (I know nothing about drop protection, but just don't drop your $2,000 laptop and we don't need to argue, but it should be better than a laptop without a case anyway.) I've been digging and digging for version 2 -in-1 and finally found it (this one!) Yes, it doesn't let you fully flip the screen, but that doesn't matter - it's great - and you can actually (safely) flip the laptop if you just sit on it the bottom cover. It also snaps in and out fairly easily. One downside: the screen gets a bit heavier and, on the 2-in-1, it wants to recline a little more easily when you press it while trying (ie it's touchscreen). Get into the laptop position. It's a good compromise for me as I don't really use the touchscreen when I'm also using the keyboard, but you can always use it for just the bottom cover (or top cover if you prefer) and still have that gorgeous flip obtained to use as a tablet. To be clear (and also to help the person who said it doesn't fit the 7390 at all): you probably need a different cover - the one for the 7390. The laptop isn't a 2-in-1, either 2 -case v-1 (that's exactly what it is). Such a poor rating is probably unfair, but it's actually Dell's fault for using the exact same model number for completely different machines. In short, this is a great case and it fits perfectly if you buy it for the right model.
