Wall Mounted Deep Bathroom Cabinet

I enjoyed assembling this piece. The instructions were easy to follow. Even if it wasn't perfect. There were a few frayed corners, but luckily you don't see them when the drawer is closed, so I won't break a sweat. The threaded insert into which the eccentric anchor is screwed was missing on one part. From the appearance and the stain sprayed into the hole you can tell it was never installed at the factory. I just ended up using wood glue around that area. I also had a partial breakout on the main shelf when putting the camlock on because the camlock hole wasn't deep enough. There is a recess now, but it's hidden behind the door when it's open. You have to rotate the cam locks about 185 degrees to fully lock them. To install the assembled cabinet I made my own hole in the clear bracket lined up with the stud and used a shovel to deepen the area around it a bit. It attaches to the rack with 2 structural screws with washers. I also used small screws and drywall anchors in the 4 factory drilled holes, although this probably wasn't necessary. I can't imagine installing this with just the included drywall anchors and wall screws. I bet it will collapse eventually. The closet stinks, but I'm sure that will go away with time. I wonder why there isn't an extra shelf given the height of the storage. The depth is just right when I want to sit back and rest my head while doing business. It could have been much better but I am happy with my purchase. I will order some of the agreed parts.

Pros
  • Solid wood and veneer construction
Cons
  • Out of fashion
