It took me so long to find a shoe before I bought one for my daughter. The new scale has consistently received top marks for durability. In less than two months of wearing the socks, the velcro straps came loose as well as the stitching on the toes. It is very difficult to find durable shoes for children. I bought my son a different style of New Balance and they fell apart as well. I contacted the company and they didn't help at all. If I'm looking to spend an outrageous amount of money on shoes for my kids, I want it to be with a company that stands behind their shoes and their quality. This is not this company. The second star is only because they fit very well and my kids say they are the most comfortable of all the shoes we have tried.
