Review on Cirepil Blue Refill 14 11 Ounce by Lorri Ciccio

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Wow! That's all they say!

I've recently started making my own Brazilians and have been paying $45 a shot. As a beginner I thought all waxes were the same. I was wrong. I started with GiGi's standard Brazilian hard wax first. It worked, but after a few days I realized that things weren't going so well and I had to wax again two weeks later. Then I tried soft wax. total disaster. I've had Brazilians for years and blue wax seemed to be the standard for the pros. I decided to spend too much money and tried Cirepil today. Looks like he took everything off. I developed a good technique with another brand and used it with Cirepil. It took less time as I didn't have to go through the sections twice. I did NOT use pre-oil, just washed well and got going. my process Wash and rinse well to remove soap residue. Heat the wax until it almost melts. Using a large craft stick (I bought a giant pack of $5 craft sticks instead of a small pack of $8 wax sticks), I took a small amount of wax and rolled the stick to keep it from dripping. Working in small sections, I spread out the wax and left the border for drawing. I really think I could have made the wax thinner due to its consistency, while the brand mentioned previously required a thicker application to keep it from cracking. I waited until the wax was hard enough not to get on my fingers before pulling. After that I used some tea tree oil to remove small bits of wax (which is normal with any hard wax) and as an antibacterial agent. I think it's a little less painful than other brands due to the firm hold on the hair. The redness disappeared within minutes after each cut. I'm thrilled with the results. I did my daughter's armpits, there was no hair left. It costs a few dollars extra. I checked Cirepil's website and they have a special Brazilian hard wax called Intimate 4. I'm curious if anyone has used it and how it compares to traditional blue.
