Good for Offset Gears - Transmission Components

This product was purchased as part of a complete transmission therefore all parts are brand new. This was paired with a Shimano XT M8000 (SGS Long Cage) and a KMC x11 chain. Once everything was set up and the gears indexed, shift quality up and down the road was excellent. Power downshifts were quiet and quick with the KMC chainring. If I have any problems later I'll let you know, but for now I'm happy with this cartridge! Edit: Now that the new gearbox has a few miles and travel time on it, I think it's only fair to update my review. I rated it 5 stars but downgraded it to 3 due to Switch compatibility. Yes, it says here that it is compatible with a Shimano 11 derailleur. I used this with a Shimano XT M8000 SGS (long cage) on a 1x crank. With the appropriate number of links in the chain, the shifting position at the highest and lowest gear is good. However, screw B must be tightened very firmly to remove the largest gear. Since the XT is designed for use with 46 t (according to Shimano), the pulley offset is not as large as with the 12-speed groupset. So if you adjust screw b to clear the largest gear, there will be a large gap between the smaller gears. This results in less sharp shifts and delays. It doesn't matter much on the road, but lacks the quick shifting you'd expect on a dynamic track. Again all new parts I installed and adjusted then took to the shop to see if I missed anything. but I didn't. That's what happens when you exceed OEM specs. On the street or on the flat, you'll be happy with this setup and the range is fantastic. However, if you need more than 50 teeth, opt for 12 gears or a derailleur. developed for such a cassette. If I had known that, I would have come out of the gate in 12th gear.
