Review on Vented Microwave Silicone Hardened Tempered by Janet Aranjo

Attention buyers! I've been using this lid for about 9 months and there have been no complaints (I bought it because I was starting to have doubts about putting a plastic lid with food in the microwave, no matter how much people said it was safe). Then suddenly this thing literally exploded out of the blue while sitting on our dish dryer. Yes, sit on the dryer! My husband picked my daughter's spill proof mug off the coaster and the small plastic mug lid fell about 6 inches from the top onto the microwave glass lid and the microwave glass lid bounced a good 3 inches as it exploded into countless little pieces! How come?!?!?!? I saw all this as I sat on the couch and told my husband where to find the details of the mug. The pieces cracked for a good 5 minutes while sitting there. I am now very concerned about the food safety of this product - what else was melted into this jar to make it behave so strangely? I'm so glad my daughter wasn't standing at my husband's feet when this happened. I very rarely leave reviews and hate to leave bad ones, but I've never seen glass behave like this (I've had good experiences breaking tempered glass, even a large light window with record temperatures) and would like buyers become aware of the potential security issue.
