All three of our cats love these beds! Our oldest hates getting out there. Very soft and warm for our northern New York winters. Worth the price, reasonable. After reading a few reviews I wanted to clarify - I have 2 cats of 15 pounds each, the female is plump and round, the male is long, skinny and very tall, and the third is our little girl, she only weighs 11 pounds and she has room in her bed for toys or even a kitten if she lets her. Big cats sit comfortably, occasionally dangling a paw or tail, but that's just their relaxation. There is more than enough space and they love the beds. I wouldn't call this bed small unless your cats are XX large sizes, say over 16 pounds. I wouldn't machine wash this, it's soft and comfortable and I'd be afraid of losing quality in the machine wash. I vacuum every week, cats are only indoors and it works for us.
