Review on OptiPlus Streak-Free Glasses Cleaner: All-Natural Lens Cleaning Spray with Dual-Purpose Microfiber Cloth by Kim Marin

Nice set but expensive.

This spray has an alcohol smell that I like when I'm cleaning my glasses. He cleaned them very well with the supplied microfiber cloth. The gray side of the cloth cleaned and polished my glasses quite well. The orange side makes the fabric too stiff to get into the area where the nose pads are. This is the cleaning side, but the gray side actually does a great job. It did its job well on most lenses and left no streaks. The fabric can be hand or machine washed up to 30 times before replacing. I hope by then it will have that softness that I really like and not be so thick and hard. When I machine wash such small items, I take a garment bag and then lay it out to dry. The packaging it comes in is handy for storing things and ensuring they are less likely to leak. It fits in a purse or glove box. The product is completely natural, antimicrobial and odorless. It's a little more expensive than the product I just bought locally. I didn't buy a cleaning cloth because we get one for free at every meeting we go to, so I have at least a dozen. I didn't understand why this is better than other types of eyeglass cleaners. Ingredients: Water, surfactant blend (what's that?), preservative, and EDTA (large, complex chemical). We're talking a little goggle cleaning spray, so why does the company think it's better to go with an all-natural product? and a non-toxic base composed primarily of alcohol and free of ammonia to get rid of dangerous chemicals that can damage eyes. It states that our eyes come into contact with eyeglass lenses every day, so dangerous chemicals can cause serious problems. I'm sure there's a lot more to it, but I was curious as to what's behind this product. So I came to the conclusion that this product cleaned my glasses really well. For myself I can't justify the cost as my eyeballs never touch the lenses of my glasses so I don't think this will be a problem. I don't think it's risky using the formula my optometrist gives me or the ones available in the store.

Pros
  • Reversible Microfiber Cloth: The microfiber cloth gently lifts away dirt, oils and stains, while the microfiber cleaning cloth polishes lenses for a long-lasting shine.
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
