They were a big hit with my grandchildren aged 4 to 9 and two sets of parents. Funny noise as they stretch and stretch - it's worth it for that alone. Everyone had a blast stretching, bending and connecting these hoses while pushing the rest of the birthday toys aside. The tubes aren't very thick, but certainly thick enough to extend the lifespan if care is taken. I have warned my grandchildren to be careful not to step or kneel on them and to be a little careful when manipulating them as I suspect they will not return to their original shape or stretch well, if they get damaged. The colors are wonderful - very bright, colorful and opaque. It's only the first day of play, but it was a lot of fun.
