Hydro Barrier Cream vs. 2x Barrier Cream

Skin type: Insanely sensitive, eczema prone, allergies everywhere, dry/combination skin, easily dehydrated. The Hydroprotective Cream is a gel-cream that is more intense than the 2x Protection Cream (occlusive and softening). Its finish is moist and slightly sticky (depending on your skin type, it can be very sticky or silicone-like). If you are allergic to silicones, please don't buy this, it contains a lot of silicones. Just bought this to replace my 2x sunscreen as it's May and getting hot. Cream 2x Barrier is ideal for the winter and fall months. I think both creams are all weather suitable if you have dry normal/combination skin. The 2x version is definitely a lot "heavier" and has a slightly creamy feel. To be honest they didn't break me or irritate my skin; I have used a 2x barrier cream to speed up the healing process after an eczema flare up. Overall, these products are good and no frills. Edit: If you have very sensitive skin, the Hydro Barrier cream will sit on the skin and can be irritating. It didn't irritate me because of the ingredients, it was too heavy in finish and didn't sink into my skin like a 2X sunscreen would. I still recommend both creams, only I prefer the 2x barrier :) Hope this helps! Edit: It's June now and my skin is still prone to allergies but tends to be oily/combination now. The gel-cream is still quite intense and goes well with the toner. More (like multiple steps) may be too heavy (as I've found, the more occlusive the product, the more oil the gel-cream will leave on your skin. Don't worry, the gel-cream won't break you; it leaves in the morning a radiant glow upon waking), so I recommend keeping your skincare routine as short and simple as possible, or using less heavy products (like occlusive serums, etc.). On drier days it can be layered with other products. Please note that I also use Curology and its formula is quite creamy and not ideal for this summer gel cream. I plan to continue using it as a night cream simply because it is very cooling and is good for my overheated and stressed skin.
