I used to have a phone holder and I have to say this one has small differences that make it a lot better than my old one. I make a list of things I like. 1.) Buttons to Release Side Clips - I love that you don't have to fiddle with the clips at all, just open them all the way with the push of a button. 2.) Side clip locking mechanism - depending on the thickness of your phone, you can adjust it as you like. 3.) Rubber pads on the side clips - I especially like this as I like using my phone without a case so I know it doesn't hit the plastic and scratch my phone. Obviously its main objective is to offer better stability and less friction. 4.) Adjustment Knobs - My old mount had round knobs with knobs that would be a hassle to undo if needed. However, it has adjustments that you could probably call "petals" that give you a better grip, and loosening or tightening is no problem at all. 5.) The bottom phone stand is adjustable - if you feel your phone sits too high for the side clips, you can lower the stand and the clips will sit perfectly in the middle.
