That's why there aren't full 5 stars. My 2.5 year old Exotic Shorthair finally figured out how to get on him - just because we put him next to the couch so he jumps off the couch to the lower tier and then onto the floor. the top level from there - it REALLY sways every time he enters it. We got this model because it is attractive and high for its viewing pleasure. What is also important to us is what is made in America. Other Pros - He also likes the thickness and the material that scratches. The beds are also very soft and comfortable, but I don't think the way they are constructed really suits a flat face. ok with those points i mentioned it is a worthwhile buy. It also comes with a wall mount bracket, but that was the main reason we chose this model (impression it was solid without installing it!). It's been a few months and he LOVES this scratching post. I'm glad I gave him time to get comfortable!
