I bought a pair of Doc Martens boots that were absolute torture on my feet. I wanted the "Made in England" handmade ones, but the leather was expectedly thick, which means you have to break them in. These trees helped the process. I used leather stretch conditioner on the inside of the boots and used these shoe trees every day for two weeks to stretch the boots out. Now they are incredibly comfortable!When I was 20, I probably would have just put up with the discomfort from the new boots. I'm almost 50, so these trees kept me from throwing the boots out! Plus, they smell great, like all cedar wood products do.
