Used for labeling items for renovation - easy to write on, sticks well but stays clean

I am renovating and wanted these materials to be labeled and segregated by room. I have worked with the same contractor on several renovations and we have a very well working system. He buys all of the actual building materials, but I store and buy most of the furnishings. This time we are renovating 3 bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen. To organize the materials I bought this pack of colored tape so I can label and color match the materials by room. On the wall outside of each room I put colored tape about 6 inches long. On top of all the materials that were intended for this room, I put another piece of tape in the same color. Yellow for the kitchen, pink for the bathroom upstairs, red for the bathroom downstairs, etc. Materials are usually stacked right outside of the room they're intended for, but that way when they're mixed there's still a way back where everyone article has to go. , we have many 3 position light switches and I need to specify which switch should be a dimmer switch and which one should be an on/off switch only. I put a piece of tape in the place of each switch... blue tape means dimmer switch, green tape is on/off. The strips of tape stick well, but still peel off without damaging the packaging or the wall. However, I would not rely on this tape to provide reliable packaging strength. To me, it's for visibility, not strength. I just wrote to tape with Sharpie. The ribbon is about 1/2 inch wide, which makes the writing very visible when it's just one line, and I clearly print in all caps.
