Review on 🎥 Smatree SmaPole DS1 Extendable Stick: Compatible with DJI OM 4, OSMO Mobile 3/2/1, OSMO PRO/RAW - Tripod Compatibility by Matthew Burnett

This product is designed to work with DJI Osmo and DJI Osmo Mobile (which I have is http://amzn.to/2DlGDKq). This is Smatree SmaPole DS1. this is a good product! It is lightweight and easy to carry. I pack the base in a bag that I use for hanging and carry the extension in my hand as I move from place to place. The build quality has been entirely satisfactory so far. It's metal (with rubber grips) and the tightening and loosening mechanisms feel solid. They have no "play" and are easy to loosen and tighten. When tightened, they support the Osmo Mobile without slipping. The Osmo Mobile attaches to it as expected, and the stand and extension are solid...for the most part. The extension cable is sold and the connection to the Osmo is stable. The extension is attached to the base as expected. However, when the extension arm is fully extended, the weight of the Osmo Mobile and the iPhone can cause the stand to wobble slightly. When it's not fully extended it's MUCH STABLE (and sitting on a table like this seems like a good height for indoor work). One caveat is when using it outdoors I tend to add a sandbag or other weight to the legs to add wind resistance. At the same time, it never capsized, even in VERY strong winds. The extension rod has a nice soft grip which gives the Osmo Mobile a slightly better position for shooting VLOG. I used one more pin than I used with the base. A little more length seems to make the composition better for vlogging. The extra length from the extension was very helpful. Overall I am satisfied with this purchase. For $41.99 you get both a stand and an extension that adds more functionality to the Osmo product.
