I've been wet shaving for decades but my husband has always been a bit reluctant to use safety razors and razors due to his recent complaints about the terrible cartridge razor , which he uses, I decided to put together a little package for him and see if he's willing to try again. I included a Merkur Futur (love the Futur razor), stand, bowl and some pink TOB that he already loves and uses a lot. I chose this brush because I liked the way it looked, beautiful blue and mirror-smooth chrome - a nice departure from the standard barrel shapes you see all the time. Considering the price, I hesitated, guessing the bristles would be a lot smaller than the Silver Tip. To my surprise, the brush is softer than expected, the weight is a bit lighter, but I'm comparing it to my Dovo and Merkur - so not entirely fair. It fits perfectly in the stand (unlike the Futur!) and looks really great. She's starting to flower pretty well and most of all he loves her. I'd say if you're a beginner, on a budget, or just looking for a decent replacement brush that won't break the bank, this would be a great choice. It's also important to note that the brush is beautifully packaged in a black cellophane sealed box, making it perfect as a gift.
