This makes my neck feel a lot better when I have to sit in front of the computer for a long time. It fits my laptop perfectly, the vents work really well and the stand is solid so I don't have to worry about my laptop slipping off or the stand slipping off my desk. It raises my computer just over four inches off the table surface, so it takes me a while to get used to the angle of my wrists when typing, but it puts your wrists in a more ergonomic position anyway. So it's probably better for me in the long run. In addition, it is very easy to assemble. Instructions were included with the kit, but you don't really need them. The two U-shaped legs come with screws that simply screw directly into the base. The only suggestion I would have is at the end of the package - it was in a regular box (like you might see in a store) but it wasn't. in a USPS box. Our courier left it on the porch and it's snowing so the box got wet. We found that out pretty quickly, but if we hadn't been looking at the porch at the time, the box would have been soaked.
