Review on Valterra A10 3346VP Light Rotating Register by William Bell

I wanted to replace the heat registers as they are outdated. I bought three of these Valterra A10-3346VP Light Brown 4" Heater and Air Conditioner Rotary Registers. They did a great job on the two longer runs. Unfortunately, one of the registers is within 12 inches of the oven. When the oven is running, there is a smell of melting plastic (it doesn't actually melt plastic). I thought after a few uses the smell would go away. nope After a few weeks of use, it found that it got very hot and gave off a plastic smell. I decided to replace this particular register with a metal register. The other two, farther from the oven, are fine. Overall I think this is a great product. Just make sure it's not installed in a duct very close to the stove.
