I took 2 of these after my 2nd Line 6 G30 broke in the last 5 years or so. I really liked the G30 but they are dying and at $2-300 I wouldn't try again. Decided to try these. So far I have only connected and made a comparison test of the cable. In fact, the only difference I can clearly hear is when cleaning, during gameplay there is a slight hiss in the background. It doesn't sound like a 60Hz hum or anything, but it's there if you listen. There will only be a problem with the record. Life is too quiet to be a problem. I didn't hear any hiss at all on my dirty channels (closed). Otherwise very happy with the sound. I've swapped several times and can't be sure of any other differences with the cable. No lag, feels like a cable. There are no flights yet, everything works. Standard mini USB charging cable that works while charging so you can plug the receiver into your rig and always charge via USB. The transmitter uses the same USB cable for charging, but did not attempt to power it while charging. In addition, the backpacks are equipped with loops that allow you to connect them to unusually shaped devices. In general it is recommended! It's really amazing that you can get what appears to be a fully flexible wireless device at this price point. Update later that day: I've just been playing this for hours with 2 different guitars. I quickly forgot he was there and walked around my office playing as usual, trying out different guitars and sounds without even thinking about wireless. Perfect.
