Other reviews are correct in that the 0.3mm thickness is enough to prevent the screen door from closing completely when the screen is facing the camera. I do not care. others can. I keep my M50 ready in my camera bag so I can just pick it up, turn it on, take off the lens cap and go crazy. With the screen protector on my M50, I don't have to worry about the screen facing out. I also liked that for $9 I got not one but TWO screen protectors. You know, in case you screw up by installing the first one. But you won't because setup is easy if you're relatively sober. The protection fits the screen perfectly. Once there, you don't even realize it's there. If you paid more than $500 for M50 and don't want to pay $9 for the screen protector, you and I can't be friends.
