I bought these to use in caving to protect my elbows and forearms when crawling through tight passages and cracks. I've used them a few times and they worked as well as I could hope for and provided the protection I needed. I used them to crawl over mud, rocks and water, hosed them down and hung them up for my next ride. I am a 5ft 11in male and weigh 175lbs and bought this in a medium size. I wanted a snug fit so my hand wouldn't accidentally slip off, and they fit fairly snugly, but not so tight that they cut off blood flow. Their price is unbeatable compared to the quality.
