I bought for fishing. They are suitable for that. Driving at night is why you might want to consider it. You have to get used to it, I mean. First, modern headlights are getting brighter and brighter (good for the driver, bad for all oncoming traffic), some roads can be very dangerous. These goggles do a great job of reducing the distraction from other cars' headlights. Second, and I know it's ODD, the road at dusk is actually brighter with these glasses than without them. Try it yourself, I'm not lying. Third, you'll notice that all oncoming cars with modern windows (with the ultraviolet tint common in recent years) have a green-yellow glow reminiscent of each car's force field. It's weird and some might not appreciate it, but here's another really unexpected benefit of these glasses. With all those darker windshields, the old practice of communicating with the other driver (I mean polite things), like who's coming when at an intersection, it's all pretty much gone since no one can see into your car. With these glasses, you can actually get a glimpse inside another car that you couldn't see with the naked eye. They come with a hard case, ideal for protecting the lenses from scratches. There is a small polishing cloth and a responsive customer service policy. I don't think there is UV protection from the sun's rays so be wary if cataracts and the like are a problem. If you are not sure, ask your doctor.
