Review on 🕶️ RJ9066S Wayfarer Square Sunglasses for Ray-Ban Kids by Gerald Munajj

Ray-Ban Junior Kids RJ9066S: almost perfect, but not up to date

These sunglasses are undeniably stylish and well made. As a parent, I appreciate the high level of quality that Ray-Ban is known for and am confident that these sunglasses will stand up to the rigors of everyday use. However, despite their durability and coolness, there are a few key flaws that prevent me from giving these sunglasses a higher rating. First, the size is a bit off. I understand these sunglasses are made for kids but the 47mm frame seems a little small even for my seven year old. She complains that they pull on the temples and I'm concerned that they may pinch the skin or cause headaches if worn for long periods of time. I would have liked a slightly larger version. Secondly, the lenses are quite dark. While I appreciate the gradient effect that adds a certain style to a pair of sunglasses, the darkness of the lenses can be distracting in certain lighting conditions. My daughter cannot see well in dimly lit areas with these sunglasses on and I am concerned that they may pose a safety hazard in some situations. Overall, I recommend these sunglasses for their durability and style, but with the caveat that parents should carefully consider lens size and tint before purchasing.

Pros
  • STYLISH DESIGN: The iconic square design of these Wayfarer sunglasses is both classic and trendy, making them a stylish accessory for any outfit and occasion.
Cons
  • No polarized lenses which may be less effective in reducing glare and visual stress in children who are constantly exposed to bright light.
