First of all this is an amazing machine! The interface is really smooth (no lag between menus) and player navigation is intuitive. The battery is as advertised. I get 13-15 hours on a single charge. The M3 Pro is a fingerprint magnet, but who cares?! I will briefly describe how it sounds (1 star deduction). So I tested my Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 32 OHMS and my Sendy Aiva. And to me, the sound of this unit is strikingly bright (EQ OFF). Whenever I write a review of the DAP on Revain, I tend not to comment on the "sound" of the device as audio preferences are very individual. All those budget DAPs ($50-$250) sound good! There is no DAP in my collection of 35 items, which sounds "bad". This unit does NOT sound "bad". However, the M3 Pro sounds noticeably brighter than many DAPs in my collection. If the Cayin N3 was the "dark/warmest" sounding DAP of players in this price range, the M3 Pro would be the brightest sounding. I personally prefer a brighter sound, especially when listening to soundtracks. However, the "brightness" I mean is tiring after 3 hours of playback. The 7 equalizer settings this unit has are noticeably different and they are useful. Also, I don't know the gain specs of this unit, but the M3 Pro has no problem powering my Sendy Aiva. I believe that at its current price ($80) it will be a big hit in the budget DAP market. One final note: when working with a touchscreen, be sure to press your finger "outside" the display and take advantage of all possibilities. SCREEN area for navigation. There were users who found it difficult to navigate the FiiO M5 (mini player) touchscreen. That is the solution. Fio, this is a great product. I have a feeling there are ways to improve its bright (harsh in some cases) sound. I'll leave that to you and the design team. But my criticism aside, I think this will be a successful product because of its essential functionality. I look forward to more comments on this device as the M3 Pro has caught my attention. Thank you FiO!
