Review on Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM lens, black by Eric Shaun ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Everything about the product satisfied me, the price is perfect.

I have been using glass on the crop for more than a year. Indoors, of course, you need a larger angle, but on the street / studio it behaves just fine. Maybe I was lucky, maybe the stars aligned, but at 1.4 - ringing sharpness, no complaints. aberrations are easily corrected in any editor. The only negative is that despite the ultrasonic drive, the focus is rather long (when compared, for example, with tamron 28-75). In terms of fragility, many write that they accidentally knocked and that’s it, so I don’t know what kind of animal I have: I fell twice on the concrete floor from the height of my belt and nothing. Of course, it is better to purchase a lens hood, and a filter so that the dust does not swallow. In general, excellent glass, which will serve faithfully, and for a careful attitude - to give out an amazing picture.

Pros
  • aperture, sharpness
Cons
  • vacuum cleaner, chromate at 1.4 - 2, focusing, no lens hood in the kit (for such and such money).
