i have small ears and a child sized "cup" (the place where the earbuds sit just outside the ear canal). I've tried all types of wired and wireless headphones over the years, and most of them fall out of my ears if I move my head too much, no matter what combination of adapters I use to keep them in place. Regardless of the price of the headphones. or brand names, I get earaches from even the softest adapters because they press too hard in the wrong places. Looking for something that might work, I came across this little insert. I ordered it thinking it would fall out too and I would send it back. When it arrived I was pleased with its tiny size and impressed with its small metal charging case with battery indicator. It was instantly charged and in pairing mode when I took it off the charger, so without opening the rest of the box (I don't remember it came with silicone adapters), I put it on my ear and connected in seconds using the phone with no need in the instructions and went outside to work in the yard. Since I had bare plastic in my ear, there was no seal in the ear canal. However, the sound was good. I use headphones primarily to listen to podcasts and audiobooks, so symphonic sound quality isn't my goal, and I still can't get stereo sound with headphones. Also, I like to hear the sounds around me because I rarely sit in one place when listening and want to be aware of what's around me. Even at 90 degrees of heat and moving in all directions, the earpiece didn't move. There was no pressure on any part of my ear; Instead, it was held gently but securely in my sink and didn't move when I leaned forward, stood up, or turned my head to one side. I had it in my ear for about 4 hours and when I took it off there was no pain anywhere. Just this morning I opened the box completely and found silicone adapters (for left and right ear because it works for both sides). I thought great! I wanted the entrance to the ear canal to be closed to improve sound quality, so I put on an adapter and had to work hard to get it in my ear. Of course it stuck like glue once I applied it, but after a few minutes the cartilage of my ear started to hurt where the sharp end was resting on it. So what to do now? It works fine without an adapter, but the sound is better with it. However, the adapter made of soft, flexible silicone is too big for me and hurts my ear. I'm thinking of cutting off the pointy end and if that doesn't work then cut it off entirely. However, a thin silicone sleeve also increases the diameter of the earplug, which can lead to pain after a while. I have some gardening to do today so I'll play around with it and update this review later. ** *UPDATE*** 09/01/2021 So I cut the silicone "wing" because of uncomfortable pressure points and then cut it off. However, even with a razor blade it was not possible to get a perfectly smooth surface where I cut off the wing, which also led to painful pressure points after a while. I finally got a nail file and smoothed out the bumps. It's not perfect, but it's still the smallest, most comfortable, and most secure earbud I've tried. For most people who aren't children I think this would be ideal.
