These toothbrushes are much softer than other "soft" toothbrushes I've used, but I felt the bristles were irritating my gums irritated. The turning point for me was using my bleaching charcoal. I had to brush my teeth several times after using them and I still couldn't get rid of all the char around my gums, I've never had this problem with other toothbrushes. I ended up having to run away and buy a regular Colgate toothbrush which I used before trying it and was able to get the remaining charcoal off my gums. I was wondering if a toothbrush can't just remove the charcoal from my teeth, what's left? I'm glad I found out and only used them for 2 weeks before the build up got worse.
