I haven't used this for the pattern yet, but I opened it up and placed it on the chart to get a feel for it. The shorter marker is as wide as a regular sheet of paper, so it helps with cross-stitching. The longer marker is the same height as the piece of paper, so it helps with vertical stitching. Viewports in the center of the markers allow you to see two lines of squares on the pattern map at once. The manufacturers are a bit flimsy and you have to align the magnets to ensure your viewing window is straight, but overall they seem to be made out of quality materials. Ultimately, I hope this will be of great help so I don't have to tag my templates to keep my place. I'll try to remember to update the review once I've used it on a project.
