I bought one size larger than I usually wear so I can dress better for a 7 day trip to Iceland. The zipper closes on the opposite side than I'm used to; I'm not sure if this is a men's coat and not a women's coat. It was a great windproof and warm jacket. I lay in the snow several times for a photo and didn't get wet and it didn't bleed so I wouldn't freeze. I wore it every day throughout the trip and it has held up very, very well. It was great for layering or when I forgot my Colombia under a layer one night while walking around town it was still enough. I could easily tell that this is my coat even in the states, it will just be a bit big without the layers underneath. In hindsight, I might have been fine with a normal size, but I liked that I didn't feel stuffed.
