I bought this white and pastel bookcase for my daughter's room. She is 2.5 years old and will tell everyone that she is a princess and these colors look amazing with her other princess decor. She is small but can easily reach the top bookshelf. I have many board, fold, hardcover, and paperback books on my shelves. Each shelf doesn't have a lot of depth, but it's not the kind of shelf that you can put as much on as possible. My daughter thinks it's great that, depending on the season, I keep several books (about 20 in my case) on the shelf at the same time and then swap them with other books on our large bookshelf. My son (6) now says he wants the same shelf in different colors in his room so I'd say it's a hit! I assembled the stand myself in less than ten minutes. It's lightweight but durable and still survives months of my kids taking books out and putting them back in.
