I am a babysitter with two grandchildren under the age of one and this purchase was a good decision! It keeps active boys at bay and happy without much home child protection. I can even lie down and rest with them in the safe enclosure. Toys stay tidy inside and pets stay outside, but they can interact through the mesh walls. I lined the bottom with six washable 36" x 24" rubber-backed bath mats (not included) that soften falls and allow you to quickly clean the tub. I assembled it myself with no problems and it is so light that I can easily move it myself to clean the room. The extra large size is highly recommended for interacting with children instead of just putting them in a small playpen on their own. Durable, washable, beautiful, inexpensive and safe.
